What kind of pet services do you provide?
We offer dog walking, pet sitting, dog grooming, overnight boarding, and drop-ins. We also do pet taxi rides, custom meals, and even host pet-friendly events. Basically, if it helps you and your pet, there’s a good chance we do it.
How is Puppy Luv different from Rover, Wag, or other gig apps?
Every Puppy Luv walker, sitter, and groomer is a W-2 employee, not a gig contractor. That means consistent training, ongoing accountability, real backup coverage when life happens, and a real relationship with our team rather than a different stranger every visit. Gig apps are convenient for one-off bookings; Puppy Luv is built for residents who want consistent, professional care from the same trusted team.
How do I book with Puppy Luv?

What does Puppy Luv cost?
Pricing varies by service. Walking starts at $22 for pay-as-you-go visits with monthly walking club packages from $69/week. Pet sitting ranges from $85/day (Day Tripper) to $145/day (Premium Care). Grooming starts at $80 (A Little Bit Of Luv). Full pricing is available on each service page, and your first vacation care invoice includes a $25 welcome credit.
Where does Puppy Luv operate?
We serve Northern Virginia, Washington DC, and Howard County. Specifically: Arlington, Alexandria, Washington DC, Tysons, Fairfax County, and Columbia MD. We're constantly expanding. If you don't see your city or building listed, reach out and let us know.
Do you partner with my apartment building?
We're the preferred pet amenity at luxury apartment communities managed by JBG Smith, Bozzuto, and Greystar across the DMV. Specific buildings include The Bartlett, Carlyle Crossing, The Latitude, Theory DC, and many more. If your building is one of our partners, you may qualify for new resident perks including Intro Week walking and a complimentary first grooming upgrade.
Will my dog always have the same walker or sitter?
Consistency matters. We do our best to assign the same caregiver so your pet can build a bond. If your regular walker/sitter isn’t available, we’ll let you know and send a trusted backup.
What if my regular walker is sick or on vacation?
Because we're a team, not a solo operator or gig app, we always have backup coverage. We'll let you know in advance whenever possible, and the backup walker will be a trusted team member who's been briefed on your pet's preferences. Your pet's care never stops because of one person's schedule.
What’s included in a walk?
Each walk includes GPS tracking, photos (and video), potty break, play time and a full visit summary emailed to you. You’ll always know how it went, even if you’re miles away.
How do I get updates while you're with my pet?
After every visit, you receive a detailed report by email or in our booking app: GPS-tracked walk route, photos (and sometimes video), notes on your pet's mood and behavior, and any updates we want to flag. You don't have to wonder how the visit went.
Do I have to be home for grooming or pet sitting?
No. For pet sitting, we work with the access method you prefer. Building concierge, doormen, lockbox, or a hidden key location. For grooming, you can drop off at your building's on-site pet spa, or add valet pickup and drop-off for $15 each direction. Many of our clients are at work or traveling during their pet's appointment.
How do you meet with us?

Can you care for pets with medical or behavioral needs?
Yes! Whether it’s meds, special diets, mobility issues, or anxiety, just give us the details and we’ll make sure your pet is in good hands.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
We understand that plans can change. Simply notify us at least 24 hours in advance for general services or 48 hours in advance for pet sitting and boarding to avoid any cancellation fees or charges.
Can I trust you? I am giving you a key to my house!
Yes, you pawsitively can trust us! All of our employees undergo an extensive criminal background, credit, and identity check by way of ADP Screening and Selection Services. We strive to employ only trust-worthy upstanding pet luvers.
Do you care for cats or other pets too?
Yes, we care for cats, small animals, and aquariums. We also offer plant watering as an add-on for travelers and vacation clients. Just ask when booking.
What if there's an emergency during a visit?
We’ll contact you immediately. If we can’t reach you, we’ll follow your emergency contact instructions, transport to your preferred vet if needed, and stay with your pet until you can be reached.
